If you wish to find all of the passeges that reference a particular word or words you can type them in and hit return and you will be taken to a search page that will list all of the bible passages that contain your search terms.
On the right side there is now a “Daily Passage”. This will update every day with a new passage from the bible.

Revival in Burns Flat
Friday, March 7th, 2008Invitation from our fellow church.
Stirring the Spirit!
Jesus said, “come to me that you may have life” and that “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” So where is the disconnect? If God wants me to have a wonderful life, why is life so tough? Is God holding out on us? I have faith the size of a watermelon. Where is my reward? How do I find hope when despair is all around?
If you have given thought to any of these, you will want to come hear our featured speaker, Reverend Duawn Mearns at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church March 26th -24th 2008. Duawn is the pastor of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Hot Springs, Arkansas and was previously pastor at the Burns Flat church.
Haven’t been to church for a while? Come. It’s all you can do to just drop in for Christmas and Easter–come. Looking to find your life in a tragic world–come. Afraid that you will be pressured to join the church or make a public decision right now–come and just listen to the Word of God. Don’t know what to wear? Come as you are. Come to as many nights as you can. You will be blessed!

Stretching Out Our Tents
Friday, February 8th, 2008
If you were in church on Sunday this was a blurb placed in the bulletin. If you’re interested in attending please let me know so I can send in our reservations. Thanks!–Rev. Stacie
Dear Friends,
Last fall, the Resourcing Congregations Committee facilitated meetings for the congregations in the Southwest and Western clusters. We talked about each church’s dreams, challenges and resources. A common thread among the churches there was how can we better reach out to the people in our communities. This translates into doing mission. To help address this need, the Resourcing Congregations Committee invites you and members of your congregation to a workshop entitled “Stretching Out Our Tents: Making Room in the Church for Our Neighbors” to be held at First Presbyterian Church, Hobart on Saturday, February 23. A $5.00 registration fee per person will pay for lunch. Attached is the registration form.
The morning workshop will be led by Rev. Harrell Davis who currently serves as Temporary Stated Supply at First Presbyterian Church, El Reno. Harrell will lead us in appreciative inquiry, “an organizational development strategy which seeks to answer the question: What’s right in any given situation.” Appreciative inquiry “is based on the assumption that any organization will – like plants – grow toward the light, i.e. move toward the positive, the good, the strong, once strengths have been identified.” It’s a way to recognize the strengths of our congregations rather than focusing on our weaknesses.
Harrell grew up in Oklahoma City, graduated from UCO with a B.S. in Biology. He attended seminary at Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary and has served congregations in California and Colorado; was a faculty member at United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities; an adjunct faculty member at San Francisco Theological Seminary and served on the General Assembly staff as the Associate for Native American Congregational Enhancement. We’re thrilled to have Harrell lead this workshop!
The afternoon workshop will be a panel discussion among the workshop participants and members of congregations in our presbytery who are doing innovative mission in their communities. This will be a time for folks to network, ask questions and gain a better understanding of how churches with limited resources can engage in mission.
Please join us as we seek to stretch out our tents and make room for our neighbors, striving to share the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ in our communities.
Sincerely,
Carol Waters, Chair
Resourcing Congregations Committee
